Welcome back to a new school year!
ELP has been successful in securing funding to increase capacity in our outreach services. We are also excited to share a range of opportunities for schools to support school leaders and practitioners to enhance inclusive practice. All these events and training sessions are free to ELP schools.
SENCo survey
Please complete the SENCo support survey to help us get a better understanding of the SEN workforce model and priorities in your school and to tailor support and training for 2022/23.
Lady Margaret Outreach Service training for specific difficulties in literacy
Improving teachers’ subject knowledge and skills to meet the specific learning needs of children who are not making expected progress due to difficulties primarily affecting reading and writing skills. Interested schools can sign up by 30 September.
Increased capacity for Springhallow Outreach
I am very pleased to say that we have increased capacity within the SH outreach service. As requested by SENCOs, Springhallow will be working in collaboration with Costons ARP to provide additional capacity. This branch of the offer will enable schools to observe practice within a mainstream setting. Please continue to send all referrals to Springhallow Outreach as before.
Occupational therapy champions pilot
Train a staff member with the knowledge and skills to identify and support children with occupational therapy needs.

Therapeutic Thinking free taster sessions
You may have heard that Ealing Council is promoting a new training opportunity for schools and services, “Therapeutic Thinking”, which supports and improves the inclusion and behaviour of our children and young people. This approach has been extremely successful in a number of local areas across the country and we are delighted to be able to offer the training without charge, in this first year of implementation.
SEND consultation line
SENDline is a space for SENCOs, headteachers and DHTs to seek advice and support and make the most of the resources we have in Ealing for pupils with additional and Special needs.
