Ealing school nurses training modules

Virtual training modules for medical conditions policy and emergency medication September 2025 to June 2026.

It is advised relevant staff (headteachers, deputy/assistant headteachers, SENCOs and welfare assistants, medical staff and first aiders) attend these annually.

Training module one: Implementing the school medical conditions policy

• Discussing the implementation of the medical policy
• Supporting the school with individual healthcare plans for specific and complex health issues
• Medicines management
• Interactive case studies / issues

Two sessions will be offered on each day, either 1.30-3pm or 3.30-5pm. Only one session needs to be attended.

Dates:

• Thursday 9 October 2025
• Wednesday 19 November 2025
• Monday 2 February 2026
• Wednesday 13 May 2026
• Thursday 25 June 2026

Timing: 1.30-3pm or 3.30-5pm.

Training module two: Managing medical emergencies

Anaphylaxis, epilepsy, asthma and diabetes awareness for school staff

• There will be a PowerPoint presentation with brief explanation and signs and symptoms of these conditions
• Demonstration of how to administrate medication
• Question and answer session

Two sessions will be offered on each day. Only one session needs to be attended.

• Thursday 12 February 2026
• Wednesday 17 June 2026

Timing: 1.30-3pm or 3.30-5pm
