Heat decarbonization reports and plans (HDRPs)

We are pleased to announce an initiative to develop tailored heat decarbonization reports and plans (HDRPs) for Ealing community and foundation school sites which will support meeting climate and ecological emergency strategy targets.

What are HDRPs?

The HDRPs will evaluate energy consumption, carbon emissions, building conditions, and existing systems to identify potential improvements and develop tailored decarbonization strategies.

The associated plans will seek to promote energy efficiency and encourage sustainable practices that schools can implement, along with providing actionable insights to guide future capital works programmes.

The comprehensive plans will also provide information that can be used to support future funding opportunities for sustainability improvements.

When will the surveys take place?

Over the next five months, commencing February 2025.

What will your school be asked to do?

Schools are asked to complete a short data collection questionnaire and provide access to facilities and share relevant information.

Who will undertake the surveys?

The council has engaged specialist environmental consultant Arthian Ltd to undertake the surveys and provide the reports.
