Descendants annual achievement awards - Save the date!

School leaders are asked to note that the annual Descendants achievement awards will be held on Saturday 12 July 2025.

Nominations open 12 February

Nomination forms will be available from the 12 February and the deadline for submissions will be the 23 May.

Nomination categories

Schools will be invited to nominate students of African and Caribbean descent from Year 5 to Year 13 who they believe meet the following categories:

1. Student who excels in all areas of their education
2. Students who work hard and achieve against all the odds
3. Students who excel in the arts
4. Students who excel in sports
5. Students who excel in STEM
6. Students with entrepreneurial qualities
7. Future leaders.

The event this year is particularly special as it marks the 20th anniversary of the achievement awards. We would be most grateful if you could add this event to your school calendar and encourage your staff to nominate students.
