Early years budget grant

At the end of October 2024 the government announced an additional Early years grant, that would be paid to local authorities to pass onto providers.

The early years budget grant (EYBG) is to support providers who are delivering early years entitlements (3-4 year old funding) with continued raising costs. The grant period will cover from September 2024 to March 2025.

Grant estimates are based on January 2024 census returns.

Grant payments

We are currently in the process of processing this grant to our early years providers in a one lump sum amount following the same approach (based on census 2024 headcount figures)

We expect payments to be with our providers within the next 10 working days.
