In support of safer, more sustainable school travel, Transport for London (TfL) is running weekly webinars designed to empower school travel champions with the tools and guidance needed to implement effective travel initiatives at their schools.
What the webinars offer
- planning core activities throughout the year: Each session guides champions through the main TfL Travel for Life activities, helping to build a calendar of events that drive impactful change.
- running a TfL explorers ambassadors team: Create and manage an ambassadors team to foster leadership skills and enthusiasm among students.
- maximizing big events: Learn how to get the most from larger events like Walk to School Month and Car Free Day, which are instrumental in building momentum for sustainable travel efforts.
- submitting your application: Detailed support is available on how to complete and submit accreditation applications, helping your school achieve recognition for its efforts.
- drop-in troubleshooting sessions: TfL offers dedicated troubleshooting sessions to help with specific challenges, providing a flexible way for School Travel Champions to stay on track.
When and how to join
The webinars are held weekly at two times to allow flexibility
- Wednesdays: 3.30 - 4pm
- Thursdays: 12.30 - 1pm
