October school census - Pupil numbers form for schools

As schools are aware, the school census day is Thursday 3 October 2024.

We ask that all maintained schools submit their census return by Friday the 4 October.

Sometimes there are circumstances beyond your control which mean you are not able to submit your census within this deadline.

Online form

If for any reason your school cannot submit your return on COLLECT by Friday 11 October, please complete this online pupil numbers form to submit the headcount by year group and total number of FSM to the local authority.

The form will be open for responses from the morning of Thursday 3 October.

The LA needs this data by mid-October to fulfil our statutory responsibilites relating to school place planning.
