The British Museum is running a free teacher private view of the Hew Locke : what have we here? exhibition.

Date 19 November 2024

Time:5-8pm.

Location: The Clore Centre for Education, The British Museum, Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3DG

This collaborative exhibition takes a sideways look at the complex history of the British empire using objects from the British Museum collection and artworks specially commissioned by Hew Locke.

Find out about school resources available to support a visit with students, attend a drop-in creative workshop, chat to members of the Schools team and join a curator talk. There will be an opportunity to reflect on the exhibition with Esther Adesigbin, an artist and advocate of community art engagement.

Free refreshments will be available on the evening and the exhibition bookshop will be offering a 20% discount. This private view is suitable for primary and secondary school teachers – and trainee teachers are most welcome.
