Changes to the Schools performance and data team

We have a few updates for you about staff in the school’s performance and data team at Ealing Council.

At the end of August, Shane Ryan who joined the team last year as a senior performance and data analyst left the team. We'd like to thank Shane for his contributions and all the support he provided colleagues at Ealing and to schools in his time with the team. Shane will be returning to a role at Elthorne Park High School, we wish him all the best with this new role.

Our apprentice, Taranjot Tiwana, also left the team on 5 September having successfully completed her end point assessment to achieve her qualification. A big congratulations to Taran and thank you for all the work she has done over the past two years. Schools may not have spoken with Taran directly, but she has supported in the background with lots of work particularly in relation to school census, uploading reports and the always exciting task of searching for UPNs!

Both Shane and Taran's roles were fixed term and so there are no plans at the current time to recruit to replace them.

Finally, the team manager Jennifer Bull also left Ealing in September as well. Here is a short message from Jen:

I have been managing the team since 2021 but had my first role in the team back in summer 2014, a whole decade ago! I want to say a big thank you to colleagues in schools for their hard work, responsiveness and support during the time I've been at Ealing. I used to work with schools much more closely when I led on school census, and before that attainment, and the relationships I had the opportunity to build with colleagues in school has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my role/s in the team. There have been many challenges that we have all dealt with together over the years, and your good humour, patience and openness have made this work a pleasure to do. Thank you, and all the best for the future.

We have recruited for a replacement and are hoping a new manager will join the team in the autumn, so there will be an interim period without a team manager during the autumn term.
