Event details

Free event: Advice and information day for refugees and asylum seekers

Tuesday 9 July 10am-3pm St Mary's Church, 1 The Mount, Acton W3 9NW

On the day

There will be a warm and inclusive welcome to refugees and asylum seekers in the borough of Ealing. On the day there will be refreshments with some arts and crafts activities for children to do under parental supervision.

There will be activities that:

  • explore how refugees and asylum seekers currently get advice and information and how they think that could be improved
  • capture their feedback about their experience of the day itself and the issues that they bring up
  • facilitate some networking amongst the participants – the refugees and asylum seekers as well as the community organisations and the council teams

To provide some context for these activities it may be useful to mention that the council has made a commitment to become a Borough of Sanctuary
