Farewell messages for Mirela Temo, Education adviser for ECT induction, EMA and RE

09 Jul 2024

Mirela Temo, Education adviser for ECT induction, EMA and RE, will be leaving the council this summer after nearly 23 years of dedicated service.

Mirela provided exceptional support to Ealing’s ECTs and schools. Her commitment, pride and professionalism in working on behalf of practitioners to secure the highest expectations has left a lasting impact, supported countless colleagues in starting out on their educational careers and ensuring success for all. Her passion in securing the highest level of service made a significant impact to Ealing’s retention of teachers and over a significant period.

Mirela played a vital role in developing the RE Curriculum across schools. We also acknowledge Mirela’s legacy in supporting inclusive practices in schools, specifically in relation to students with EAL, children from traveller communities and in supporting equity and access for other minoritised groups.

Mirela led the first pre-ELP innovation programme, successfully stimulating schools to pair-up to advance professional networking around common priorities. She led the borough’s programme for gifted and talented students under previous education policy direction and has adapted to service changes with commitment and dedication.
