Apply for a free sustainability manager for your school

Thanks to a pioneering collaboration between Ealing Council and Sustainability Managers for Schools C.I.C. three Ealing state-funded schools will be provided with a free sustainability manager to drive sustainability and make their school more 'environmentally friendly'.

Role of sustainability manager

During their one-year placement, each manager will lead on a range on activities such as:

  • calculating their school’s carbon footprint
  • creating a climate action plan (a DfE requirement)
  • establish new sustainability initiatives
  • deliver school assemblies
  • achieve the Eco Schools award
  • run your Eco-Warriors committee
  • apply for funding
  • join Eco-Schools and much more.

Managers will partner with schools to ensure activities fit their priorities.

The deadline for schools to apply is 11 June 2024.

Individuals interested in applying for the role of sustainability manager need to apply by 4 June 2024.

Schools are encouraged to raise awareness and suggest to parents, TAs, or other suitable candidates who they think would be great in the role to apply.
