Race equality journey for parents

The Ealing Race Equality Commission was established by Ealing Council in 2020. Chaired by Lord Simon Woolley, it was tasked with listening to people who live and work in the borough about their experiences of racism and putting forward proposals to address inequality.

The Ealing Race Equality Commission report was published in January 2022 and included demands for change in a range of areas, including education.

In response to those demands, the Ealing Learning Partnership has established a race equality in education programme, which aims to support all Ealing schools to meet the commission’s seven demands for change.

This video has been produced for parents/carers to explain why these changes are needed and how schools, in partnership with parents, are working to address these inequalities and achieving positive change.
