Tree surveys
Schools must have effective systems in place to manage trees on their sites, particularly those in areas frequently accessed by pupils, staff and the public.
Tree surveys should be carried out at least once every two years.
Tree surveys
Schools have 3 options to choose from for carrying out tree surveys:
- Use an industry approved consultant Arboricultural Association - Registered Consultant Directory (trees.org.uk)
- Use Ealing’s Tree Service. Contact details: Dale Mortimer MortimerD@ealing.gov.uk
- Use a tree surveyor that, as a minimum, holds a Level 3 arboriculture qualification and has public liability Insurance to the value of at least £2,000,000.
Schools should continue to use an industry approved contractor Arboricultural Association - ARB Approved Contractor Directory (trees.org.uk) for tree surgery work.
