Schools, high needs and early years funding 2024 to 2025

On 19 December 2023 DFE announced the schools funding settlement for 2024 to 2025.

They have published:

• dedicated schools grant (DSG) funding allocations for the 2024 to 2025 financial year
• pupil premium funding rates for the 2024 to 2025 financial year

They have updated the schools operational guide and high needs funding operational guide for 2024 to 2025 with the final arrangements and issued authority proforma tools (APTs) to local authorities.

They published the early years rates and operational guide for 2024 to 2025 in November.

They have also published the methodology document for the teachers’ pay additional grant (TPAG) for 2024 to 2025.

There will be an additional grant for 2024 to 2025 to reflect the additional costs of the increase to the employer contribution rates to the Teachers’ Pensions Scheme from April 2024. Further details will be announced in due course.
