School domain name data collection

The local authority are asking all Ealing state-funded schools to provide us with two pieces of information:

1. The web address of the home page of your school website(s)
2. The email addresses your organisation send and receive emails from (not individual emails, but the domains, i.e. after the @ in the email address).

Why the information is needed

We wish to add the domains to the Councils cyber threat landscape service where we see if there are any emerging threats located from places like the dark web. We will also check the email configurations to see if there are any additional settings that could be setup to protect the schools from attacks through email.

This does not replace any cyber security checks and scanning schools are doing as part of their normal service.
