Smartphone free childhood

Following the widespread support from Ealing primary schools to pledge their commitment to work with families to encourage smartphone free childhoods, we have produced a simple communication for schools to use with parents and carers.

We know that a number of schools have already sent letters. Here is a letter template schools can use, with a list of Ealing schools that have pledged their support for banning smartphones being brought into school by September 2025.

This is a schools-led, council-supported initiative.
