Schools forum report January 2025

The School Funding 2025-26 report which will be discussed at schools forum on 16 January 2025:

• advises the schools forum of the early years (EY), schools (SB), high needs (HN) and central schools services blocks (CSSB) for the 2025-26 financial year;
• consults on the EY formula and seek approval from the forum for the EY centrally retained funding;
• advises the schools forum of the proposed schools block formula and indicative school allocations;
• seeks approval from the forum for the allocation of the remaining centrally retained funding, following confirmation of the Central School Services block allocation

Appendix 1 sets out the indicative 2025-26 mainstream school level funding formula allocations, while Appendix 2 sets out the indicative school funding formula factors and rates.

Important note:
These indicative allocations are still subject to forum consultation, political ratification and ESFA sign off so could still change. Final allocations will be confirmed by end of February in line with regulations.

The minutes of the meeting will be added to the Council website once finalised following the meeting.
