Department for Education defibrillator programme

Defibrillators from the departments’ programme are being used to saving lives. Hear Barry’s story (link is external) and how his life was saved using a school defibrillator.

If you haven’t already, we encourage you to register your device on the national Defibrillator network The Circuit. (link is external)

The Circuit lets you state when your defibrillator is available and is shared with your local ambulance service.

Take part in COVID-19 Day of Reflection 2025

The COVID-19 Day of Reflection 2025 will take place on Sunday 9 March 2025, five years since the pandemic began.

By continuing to hold a Day of Reflection we hope to offer communities across the country the opportunity to remember lives lost since the pandemic began, reflect on sacrifices, and provide space for people to reflect in a way that suits them.

We encourage you to get involved on a day that suits your setting in the week before the Day of Reflection.

Resources

Resources, examples of previous events and an interactive map to submit and view events in your local area are available on the COVID-19 Day of Reflection website. (link is external)
