Variation to 2025-26 community school admissions arrangements

In addition to the consultation that is taking place for the community school admission arrangements 2026-27, the LA has decided to make an application to the school adjudicator for a variation to the 2025-26 admissions arrangements.

The request is for a reduction in the published admission number (PAN) from 60 to 30 places for reception 2025 intake at Drayton Green Primary School and Downe Manor Primary School.

The reason for the request is due to a further reduction in reception numbers across Ealing North and GNP West planning areas based on the October 2024 census, with reception rolls in both areas now representing a surplus of over 20%.

The LA are consulting on reducing the planned admission number at both schools to 30 for 2026-27 in response to reduced demand and consider a variation to 30 for 2025-26 will support the schools to plan for long term stability, a consistent structure and a sustainable financial position.
