Race and diversity leads joint network launch: Wednesday 20 November 4-5pm

This is a reminder about the new network we have set up to support school governors/trustees who are responsible for overseeing the race equality programme within their school.

We also actively welcome staff who are leading the race equality programme to attend the network as we hope it will provide a useful opportunity for discussion.

The first meeting of the new network will be held:

• Wednesday 20 November, 4 - 5pm, via Microsoft Teams.

The draft agenda for the network meeting:

• welcome and introductions
• purpose of the network
• role of the lead race and diversity Governor – why it is important and key aspects of the role
• discussion in small groups – what support do you need to be able to fulfil your role in school?
• topics for future meetings
• key dates – training and leadership seminar.
