I am delighted that we can now offer an accredited qualification in effective coaching which will run at the EEC.
Level 3 award in effective coaching with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)
- The course will commence in March 2025 and be delivered over 4 half day sessions in the spring and summer terms
- The qualification is for learners at all levels who want to develop their knowledge and skills in effective coaching within an organisational context.
- It is ideal for both new and existing coaches.
- The course is a globally recognised qualification to support you with your current role and future career development opportunities
- The sessions will be delivered by Dr Noella Lynch Edghill
- Programme price £845 which includes ILM registration and 12 months professional membership of the ILM with access to their library of resources and tools
- All ELP Schools will receive a 20% discount on the price of the programme.

Session 1: Understanding good practice in coaching within an organisational context (3 credits)
- This unit aims to provide the learner with an understanding of the practice required for effective coaching within an organisational context.
- Assessment method – Assignment
Session 2: Undertaking coaching within an organisational context (4 credits)
- This unit requires learners to undertake a minimum of 6 hours of effective coaching within an organisational context plus a 1 hour meeting with their programme supervisor/tutor. Learners will be able to identify areas for improvement through ongoing review and feedback.
- Assessment method - Portfolio
Session 3: Reflecting on coaching skills within an organisational context (3 credits)
- This unit aims for the learner to reflect on their ability to perform effectively as a coach within an organisational context
