NEU training event Thursday 14 November 2024

The local NEU will be delivering a one day training event for their school based representatives on:

Date: Thursday 14 November 2024

Time: 8am to 4pm

Venue: Ealing Green Church, W5 5QT.

Claim reimbursement for staff cover

Schools can claim reimbursement for one member of staff attending this training event.

The local facilities agreement for teacher trade unions provides for this type of event.

As on previous occasions the local authority will pay for the cost of supply cover that is necessary for one member of teaching staff.

Schools should confirm the following details by email to Jackie Bourchier, Schools HR, jbourchier@ealing.gov.uk, or by completing the form below:

1. Name of school
2. Name of teacher who is attending the NEU training
3. Name of supply teacher and agency providing cover
4. Cost of the supply teacher - please provide a copy of the invoice.

If your NEU school representative wishes to attend this event, they must complete a leave of absence form and we would expect this request to be granted subject to the exigencies of the service.
