Time is running out to get free period products for your pupils this academic year - Apply today

28 Jun 2024

The cost of living crisis has led to the number of UK women struggling to afford period products rising from 12% to 21% in one year. (Action Aid Poll, 2023)

Families are being forced to prioritise how they spend their money on essential items and unfortunately, this includes sanitary products.

It does not need to be this way. All primary and secondary schools have a designated budget to purchase free period products via the DFE’s supplier PHS.

To date, not all schools have taken advantage of the scheme. Apply before the end of this term to take advantage of the 23-24 funding or lose it for this academic year.

Budgets will be renewed in September for the new academic year.
