15 Feb 2024

Ealing Book Festival 2024 is running a young people’s poetry competition on the topic of 'Where Do I Live?'

To enter you need to compose a poem in response to the question: 'Where do I live?'

The poem can take any form you like so long as it is no longer than one side of A4.

How to enter

There are three age categories for the poetry competition:

  • 7-10 years
  • 11-13 years
  • 14-16 years

Please scan your entry and send it to competition@ealingbookfestival.com and include your name, age at the time of entry and an email and telephone number so we can contact you.

You can also leave your entry with Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery on Mattock Lane or Ealing Central Library in Ealing Broadway. If you choose to hand in your original artwork we won’t be able to return it so please take a copy for yourself.

If you are a teacher/school and would like to enter a number of entries please use our entry form to help with this process.

The deadline for the submission of poems is Thursday 14 March 2024.

Winners

All those shortlisted for a prize will be invited to a prize-giving at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery on Sunday 14 April 2024 when their poems will be on show.

The prizes have been generously sponsored by Savills and Pitshanger Book Shop.
