Eastside Schools Workshops: Celebrating Diversity - EYFS - KS3
Celebrate Black history month with your students this term!
We are offering in-person Celebrating Diversity workshops for students from Early Years to KS3 to help schools celebrate and deepen their understanding of Black History.
Students will use drama, storytelling, spoken word poetry and music to connect with and celebrate Black history and culture, all whilst building students' confidence, vocabulary, oracy and speaking & listening skills.
Our artist-led workshops will offer students the chance to take part in interactive West African traditional tales, explore the incredible lives of Black History Heroes, try African drumming or take part in spoken word poetry workshops inspired by Black British Artists

Through a range of livestream workshops, handy guides and classroom resources, this programme will inspire students to write and perform their own original spoken word poetry, responding to this year’s theme 'The Way I See It'.
Participating teachers will also receive free online CPD with renowned poet Jacob Sam-La Rose on Wednesday 20 November and participating classes will become published poets in our annual anthology and have the chance to perform on the West End in London!
