Your Money Matters

Encouraging children to save and understand how to look after money is a key priority for the council.

Your Money Matters, partly funded by Martin Lewis, the founder of Money Saving Expert has been designed for use with young people and covers topics including spending and saving, borrowing, debt, insurance, student finance and future planning. It is the very first financial education textbook.

Young Money have developed two frameworks which support the planning, teaching, and progression of financial education. They are designed to help you deliver financial education flexibly across your curriculum in citizenship, PSHE education, maths and beyond.
